About	Marked Soldier and Dark Psyde's independant release The Gunslingers EP has already sold more copies than exist. They are up to their necks in production debt, and yet they are still crazy enough to sell their CD for $2.50 a piece, and at the same time share every track on it for FREE on Download.com. Their influences start at the artists of Psychopathic Records and Strange Music, along with other, less fanatical artists such as A Tribe Called Quest, Skindrid, and System of a Down. Well, we should say slightly less fanatical. Dark Psyde grew up in Oakland, California, listening to a lot of punk rock, and also the rap that was around at the time. His roots in the old-to-mid school hip-hop scene and Ramones-fueled rage make him an interesting flavor in the mix that is the Gunslingers. He has taken to rap like a fish in water, going from nothing but a casual listener to a quite competant and extremely original emcee. Marked Soldier was born and raised in Butte County. From his early childhood, he was a metal kid. His musical taste has since evolved from obsession to obsession, some of which include Metallica, Marilyn Manson, Floater, Sublime, Rage Against the Machine, ICP, (hed)P.E., and more recently such artists as Tech N9ne. He produces all the songs, and has been in the rap game for roughly 4 years with his old group UKZ. His fast flows, creative imagination, and large vocabulary make him a sight to see, and a... sound... to hear... I guess... Anyway, you've heard the random crap, so take take take.
